Managing Entries
CheckBook Pro comes with several tools to help you manage your Entries:

A toolbar with common actions is always visible. This includes CheckBook Pro's signature QuickFilter search field, giving you the power to find the Entries you need to see as quickly as you can press a button or enter some text to look for.
Multiple Entry Change. Select a group of Entries and change their details in a single stroke.
Folders, allowing you to physically group your Entries as necessary.
Smart Folders. When you need to filter by any combination of criteria it's time for a Smart Folder.
Columns you can arrange to suit your workflow. Customize column widths, click a column header to sort in ascending or descending order, show or hide columns as necessary and pick your favorite colors and font for your Debits and Deposits.
The Interactive Balance. Keep an eye on each Account's vital stats, updated live as you work.
Account Summaries. Create custom summaries to report on your data, then print them as necessary.
OFX, QIF and CSV/Text imports. Make the move from Quicken or most other personal finance managers or import your online banking statements without breaking a sweat!

Filtering & Searching
CheckBook Pro gives you two heavy-duty power tools for filtering & searching:

QuickFilter, a fast and easy twist on the standard search field that lets you specify several criteria at once. QuickFilter does the heavy-lifting when you need to restrict your view to a specific date range, only Entries with a certain Category or just those that haven't cleared your Real World account - or all three at once!
Smart Folders, allowing you to set up any combination of advanced search criteria to limit your view to exactly the Entries you need to work with.

Interactive Balance
Keep an eye on your Account's vital stats without interrupting your workflow - just switch the Interactive Balance to the stat you're interested in and watch it keep up while you add, change, remove and filter your Entries.

Choose from the following options:

Balance: the balance for all Entries plus your starting balance.
Today's Total: the total for all Entries through today plus your starting balance.
Filter Total: the total for the Entries visible after filtering through Smart Folders and QuickFilter.
Resolved Total: the total for all resolved Entries.
Unresolved Total: the total for all unresolved Entries.
Deposits Total: the total for all Deposits.
Debits Total: the total for all Debits.

Reconciliation
Easily balance against your Real World accounts with CheckBook Pro's reconciliation features. Enter your statement balance and, if your Unreconciled total isn't zero, compare your Entries to your statement to find incorrect amounts or Entries that haven't been entered yet.

Scheduled Entries
Rent, utilities, paychecks - all on a schedule, right? How about that one-time expense that's coming up next month? CheckBook Pro's Scheduled Entries feature lets you schedule these transactions and forget about them until they're due.

Schedules can repeat daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly - you name it. Need finer control over the repeat interval? CheckBook Pro allows Schedules to repeat every user-defined number of days, weeks, months, quarters or years.
Schedules can repeat forever, until a certain date or up to a user-specified number of times.
Schedules that fall on a weekend can be added the preceding Friday or the following Monday.

Managing Accounts
Take charge of your Accounts with CheckBook Pro's powerfully simple Accounts drawer:

Streamlined toolbar with options for adding, editing and removing Accounts, Folders and Smart Folders.
Handy contextual menu.
Rearrange Accounts with drag and drop.

Account Options
Customize your Accounts to suit your workflow:

Choose an icon (or drag in your own) for the Accounts drawer.
Select a Currency, if necessary.
Set up autocompleting Descriptions and To/From items to streamline the Entry process.
Define Account-specific Entry Types, labels to group Entries by how they were transacted, ie. Check or Debit.
Add a password to deter prying eyes.

Account Summary
CheckBook Pro's Account Summaries give you a comprehensive breakdown of your income and expenses. Set a date range, select a few options to limit the Summary to just the Entries you're interested in, even apply a filter to really drill down to the data you want. Plus, you can print your Summaries on demand - great for tax time and monthly/quarterly filing!
